Julie Tupler is a Registered Nurse, Certified Personal Trainer and Childbirth Educator. She started developing the Tupler Technique® in 1990 with her Maternal Fitness® Program to prepare women for the “marathon of labor and motherhood.” Her first book written in 1996 was “Maternal Fitness” (Simon& Schuster) was a revolutionary new way to prepare for labor by learning how to push during pregnancy. In 2001 she wrote “Lose Your Mummy Tummy” (Da Capo) to help moms recover from childbirth focusing on treating diastasis recti. In 2016 she published Together Tummy (Mascot). The Tupler Technique® is both research and evidenced based. She is on the advisory board of Medical Fitness Network, Fit Pregnancy, Women’s Health Foundation and the Women’s Sports Foundation In 2009 Julie started training medical and fitness professionals all over the world in her Tupler Technique®. Her program has been now translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, German, Italian and Czech. Dr. Oz calls Julie an expert on diastasis recti. Julie has been on many television shows and featured in many magazine articles. She is a frequent speaker at both medical and fitness conferences. She has also produced five videos and invented the Diastometer for measuring diastasis recti, the Diastasis Rehab Splint®, Together Tape, Corrective Connective Tissue Cream and TogetherWear.
